JEE Advanced 2021 Latest News: Due to surge in number of COVID-19 cases across the country, the JEE Main 2021 April and May sessions have been postponed till further notice. Due to the pandemic situation, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had decided to conduct the JEE Main 2021 exams in four cycles. The JEE Main 2021, February and March sessions have been completed and the results have been announced. However, postponement of the JEE Main 2021 April and May session exams have also brought about an uncertainty over the JEE Advanced 2021 Exam. Though there has been no official confirmation, interested candidates must keep an eye on the official website at jeeadv.ac.in for any updates.

The JEE Advanced 2021 Exam is scheduled to take place on July 3, 2021. According to a report by The Indian Express, BS Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad, which is the South zone coordinating institute for JEE (Advanced) 2021, stated that if JEE Advanced 2021 Exam has to be held as per schedule then out of the remaining two sessions of JEE Main 2021, one session has to be held in the month of May and the other in the month of June. He further added, "However, now that the JEE Main exams have been postponed, it is very likely that the exam date for the Advanced exam will also have to be pushed forward."
The director of an IIT in the North-Central zone on condition of anonymity was also quoted as saying to The Indian Express, "There is a lot of uncertainty pertaining to the conduct of entrance exams amid coronavirus. Class 12 board exams have also been postponed and there has been no update regarding the new schedule. JEE Advanced 2021 has to be postponed, there is no other way to go ahead with the IIT admissions."
Notably, last year also, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams had to be deferred. The JEE Main 2020 Exam was held from September 1 to September 6, 2020 and JEE Advanced was held on September 27, 2020. BS Murty also said that this year also the JEE Advanced 2021 is likely to be conducted around September only.
