State-run oil marketing companies reduced the prices of commercial LPG by up to Rs 57.5 per cylinder of 19 kilograms in the four metros, effective Thursday, November 16. The revision brought some relief to commercial cooking gas users, such as hotels and restaurants, as it followed a hike of Rs 101.5 per cylinder days ahead of Diwali.
The companies, however, kept the prices of domestic LPG at the existing levels.
Early on November 1, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation revised the retail prices of commercial LPG—sold in 19-kilogram cylinders— up to Rs 101.5 in the four metros.
Here are the prices of the 19-kg LPG cylinder in the four cities, with effect from November 16:
- New Delhi: Rs 1,775.5
- Kolkata: Rs 1,885.5
- Mumbai: Rs 1,728
- Chennai: Rs 1,942
