IndiGo expands international network, announces tri-weekly direct flight to Madinah; check schedule

Domestic airline IndiGo on Thursday, January 16, expanded its international network by announcing the launch of a new direct flight service connecting Hyderabad to Madinah, starting February 20, 2025. Madinah is a significant destination for pilgrims undertaking Hajj and Umrah. The Hyderabad-Madinah service will operate three times a week, offering pilgrims and other travelers convenient and affordable travel options for pilgrims and other travellers seeking to visit this revered city, said the company.

Commented on the launch, Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said, "The launch of the Hyderabad-Madinah route is more than just expanding our network; it opens a vital gateway for religious and cultural exchange. By commencing direct flights to Madinah, a major Islamic pilgrimage site, we aim to simplify travel within the region and beyond. With the launch of this flight, IndiGo will now operate over 100 weekly flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from India."

The airline operates over 190 daily departures connecting 65 domestic and 15 international destinations from Hyderabad, said the official release.

The flight schedule for the new service is as follows:

• Flight 6E 0057 departs from Hyderabad on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 19:35, arriving in Madinah at 23:45.
• Flight 6E 0058 departs from Madinah on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday at 00:45, arriving in Hyderabad at 08:10.
