Most people would generally frown at such an incident, and make angry calls to the company or write nasty posts on social media. But, a resident of Morbi played it cool when the incident happened with him, and this has led him to find a place in a record book.
Morbi resident Sandip Raval, who is connected with ceramic industry for several years, was in for a shock when Vodafone disconnected his services over outstanding dues of 98 paise. The incident happened last year.
“I was using Vodafone postpaid, but I later converted into prepaid. Maybe due to some technical reason, Vodafone stopped my service over dues of 98 paise. To get the phone services restored, I went to the company’s store and cleared the dues by making cash payment of one rupee. The company deducted the outstanding dues of 98 paise and sent me a cheque of 2 paise, ie 0.02 rupees, in August 2017,” Raval told Zee 24 Kalak.
