Vodafone's tariff hike: After Airtel, Vodafone Idea has announced a tariff hike for both prepaid and postpaid plans, effective from July 4. The telecom service provider has increased prices by 10-21 per cent.
New Vodafone Tariffs
For unlimited voice plans:
- The 28-day plan of Rs 179 is now Rs 199.
- The 84-day plan of Rs 459 is now Rs 509.
- The 365-day plan of Rs 1799 is now Rs 1999.
- The 28-day plans of Rs 269 and Rs 299 are now Rs 299 and Rs 349.
- The 1-month plan of Rs 319 is now Rs 379.
For data add-on plans:
- The Rs 19 plan is now Rs 22.
- The Rs 39 plan is now Rs 48.
These plans have validities of 1 and 3 days, respectively.
Postpaid Plan Details
For individual monthly rentals:
- The Rs 401 and Rs 501 plans are now Rs 451 and Rs 551.
For family plans:
- The Rs 601 and Rs 1001 plans are now Rs 701 and Rs 1201.
Airtel Also Hike Price: New Tariff Plans
Airtel has increased tariffs by 10-21 per cent. For example, the Rs 179 plan is now Rs 199. The average prepaid tariff increase is less than 70 paise per day. Postpaid plans have increased by 10-20 per cent, with the Rs 399 plan now at Rs 449. These rates will be effective from July 3.
