Chinese shares open higher, Shanghai index up 0.52%

Chinese stocks opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.52 %, at 3,020.46 points.
The smaller Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.42 % higher at 10,612.21 points, Xinhua news agency reported.
The ChiNext Index, China`s NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.74 % to open at 2,165.85 points.
