Passengers from India who have a valid residence VISA and have received both doses of UAE-approved COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed to travel to Dubai from June 23, 2021.
India to Dubai COVID Requirements: The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, headed by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced updates to the travel protocols for inbound passengers in Dubai from South Africa, Nigeria and India. These will be effective from Wednesday, June 23, 2021. In this regard, it has to be noted that there are certain requirements that the passengers from these countries have to fulfil for entry into Dubai.

According to a Gulf News report, passengers from India who have a valid residence VISA and have received both doses of UAE-approved COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed to travel to Dubai from June 23, 2021. Apart from fully vaccinated, the travellers from India to Dubai also need to present a negative certificate from a PCR test, taken 48 hours prior to the departure. The travellers must also remember that only QR-coded PCR test certificates will be accepted. However, UAE nationals are exempted from this rule.
Moreover, the passengers from India to Dubai are required to undergo a rapid PCR test four hours prior to departure to Dubai. In addition to that, they also need to undergo another PCR test upon their arrival in Dubai. The passengers from India need to undergo institutional quarantine till they receive the report of the PCR test. The report of the PCR test is expected within 24 hours.
Apart from India, the new guidelines also allow travellers from South Africa and Nigeria to enter into Dubai who have received both the doses of COVID-19 vaccines. It must be noted that the vaccines must be approved by UAE. The passengers from South Africa and Nigeria also have to present a negative certificate for PCR test taken before 48 hours before departure to Dubai. The UAE national are exempted from the PCR test.
It has to be noted that the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management said the updated travel protocols are part of a regular process of revising and optimising precautionary measures based on the latest local, regional and international developments.
As of now, four COVID-19 vaccines are approved by UAE, they are Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sputnik V and Oxford-AstraZeneca.
