Watch IPL 2023 for free on JioCinema: Check details and subscription plan

Viewers can now watch the live streaming of the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) for free on JioCinema, Reliance Jio has said. The company tweeted about the same from their page of Jio Cinema. IPL 2023 will start on March 31, 2023 with the inaugural match being played between Gujarat Titans taking and Chennai Super Kings. The match can be streamed online in 4K resolution (UltraHD), the company has said. Till date, Disney+ Hotstar had the broadcasting rights for the matches and all matches were streamed in India and only those who paid for the subscription could watch the matches.

 Similar to the FIFA World Cup 2022 which had a multi-cam feature, JioCinema will have the feature to let users switch between multiple camera angles for all 74 matches. JioPhone app will let you check statistics such as score and pitch heat map on phones, while those watching on a large screen will be able to see the information alongside the match.

The 2023 Indian Premier League will be held from March 31 to May 28 later this year.

Reliance further informed thatJioCinema users can watch the matches in 12 different languages, including English, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, and Bhojpuri. The viewers can opt for the language of the commentary, and statistics as per the choice of language one plans to watch in. 

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has deployed 5G services in around 277 Indian cities, including tier 2 and tier 3 cities, for better reach.  

Also, the company is said to be planning to unveil its Jio Media Cable accessory, which basically allows users who to stream matches even at a non-smart TV with no HDMI via their phones.
