Yakutpura Assembly Constituency of Telangana Result 2023: AIMIM's Jaffar Hussain wins

Yakutpura Assembly Constituency Result 2023: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidate Jaffar Hussain emerged victorious from the Yakutpura Assembly constituency in Telangana.

Yakutpura is an Assembly constituency No 68 and is in the Greater Hyderabad region and Hyderabad district of Telangana.

Hussain defeated Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) candidate Amjed Ullah Khan by a margin of by a margin of just 878 votes. N Veerender Babu Yadav of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed to secure 22,354 votes. 

Earlier, the constituency was represented by AIMIM leader Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri. However, he was denied a ticket by the party this time.

Meanwhile, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday thanked people for electing seven of the party candidates in the recently concluded Telangana assembly polls. 

In a post on “X”, he also congratulated the Congress party, which is set to form the government in Telangana. 

“I thank the people of #Hyderabad for trusting AIMIM again in our 7 constituencies. Inshallah, we will strengthen our grassroots work and ensure that Majlis's legacy is taken forward. I would also like to thank all our party functionaries for their hard work. My best wishes are with the Congress party. AIMIM will continue its role as a constructive opposition,” Owais tweeted. 

The All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), continued to hold sway over its traditional bastion of the Old City of Hyderabad as it retained the seven seats held by it in the outgoing Telangana Assembly.
