Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023: Padmanabanagar is one of the 224 constituencies of Karnataka. It is a segment of the Bangalore South Lok Sabha seat. There are a total of 2,67,869 voters in the constituency which includes general voters, NRI voters and service voters. Amongst the general voters 1,37,870 are male, 1,29,982 female and 13 others. The electorate sex ratio in the constituency is 94.28 and the approximate literacy rate is 88 per cent.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s R. Ashoka is the sitting MLA for the Padmanabanagar constituency. He has served as the state Minister for Municipal Administration (2020), Deputy Chief Minister (2013), Minister of Home Affairs (2013), Minister of Transport (2013) and Minister of Health and Family Welfare.

Karnataka Election 2018 Details
The Karnataka Legislative Assembly's term will expire on May 24, 2023. The last Karnataka elections were held on May 12, 2018. The election saw a voter turnout of 72.13 per cent. BJP emerged as the single-largest party and formed the government with BS Yediyurappa as the chief minister. However, BJP couldn't stand the floor test in Assembly and lasted only a week.
This was followed by the coalition of the Janata Dal (Secular) and the Indian National Congress, with H. D. Kumaraswamy as Chief Minister, which lasted 14 months before Yediyurappa and BJP returned to power in the state.
Karnataka Election 2023: Full schedule
Single-phase Karnataka Assembly Election has been scheduled on May 10, 2023 (Wednesday).
The vote counting will be done on May 13, 2023 (Saturday).
In an Assembly of 224 seats, the majority mark is 113.
