Karnataka Exit Poll 2023: The voting for the 2023 Karnataka Assembly Elections is underway. A total of 2,615 candidates (2,429 males, 185 females, one other) are in the fray for 224 assembly seats. Voting started at 7 am today (May 10, 2023) and will go on till 6 PM. Till 1 PM, 37.25 per cent voter turnout was recorded. The counting for today's voting will be done on Friday (May 13).

What the survey says:
Zee News-Matrize was the first to release the opinion poll for the 2023 Karnataka Assembly Elections. The opinion poll says that the BJP will get between 103 and 115 seats and be in prime position to retain power in the 224-member Karnataka assembly. It further said that the Congress would win 79 to 91 seats, while JD (S) would win between 26 and 36 seats.

In the fifteenth Karnataka Assembly Elections in 2018, the BJP was the front-runner with 104 seats, the Congress had 80 seats, JD (S) 38, while the KPJP, the BSP, and independent had one seat each.
