Chhanbey By Election Result 2023 Highlights: BJP ally Apna Dal (Soneylal) candidate Rinki Kol won the Chhanbey constituency with a margin of more than 9,587 votes defeating Samajwadi Party candidate Kirti Kol. Rinki got 76,203 votes, while Kirti got 66,616 votes in the poll. The constituency of Chhanbey falls under the Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. Apna Dal-S also won the Suar assembly seat that was earlier held by Abdullah Azam of the Samajwadi Party. The BJP had given both assembly seats to Apna Dal-S.
The Chhanbey constituency witnessed a two-way battle between Samajwadi Party's Kirti Kol and Apna Dal's Rinki Kol who is the wife of MLA Rahul Prakash Kol of the Apna Dal (Soneylal) party passed away from cancer on February 2, 2023.
Mirzapur is represented in the Lok Sabha by Anupriya Patel of the Apna Dal (Sonelal) party who currently serves as the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry in the Modi Government.
