National CA Day: Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi recalled the classic 'Ek pyar ka nagma hai' song from legendary actor and director Manoj Kumar's 1972 superhit Shor to extend his heart-warming wishes on the National Chartered Accountants (CA) Day, on July 1. The market wizard, a CA himself, took to Twitter to pass his greetings to his followers on the microblogging platform as well as the entire number-crunching community.

"Ambitions ka nagma hai, attempts ki ravani hai, chartered accountancy kuch bhi nahi, apni mehnat se legends ban-ne ki kahani hai ('A song of ambitions, flow of attempts, chartered accountancy is nothing but becoming legends through hardwork)," he wrote.

What is National Chartered Accountants Day?

India observes the CA Day on the first day of July every year. The day is dedicated to commemorating the establishment of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 1949 by an Act of Parliament in India.

ICAI — which functions under the administrative control of the corporate affairs ministry — is responsible for regulating the accounting standards in India. It is the only licensing and regulatory body for accounting and auditing professions in the country.
