Loan Default Case: Bank of Baroda to auction Gadar 2 star Sunny Deol's villa in Mumbai
The e-auction of the actor's property came in the wake of a loan default that the actor failed to repay to Bank of Baroda. The said property is located at Gandhi Gram Road, Juhu, Mumbai.
Sunny Deol's latest movie Gadar 2 has set the box office ablaze across India, minting around Rs 400 crore globally in the first nine days of its release, but on Sunday, the actor got a big jolt from Bank of Baroda, which published an advertisement in a newspaper, informing about the e-auction of his banglow in Mumbai for Rs 51.43 crore.
The e-auction of the actor's property came in the wake of a loan default that the actor failed to repay to Bank of Baroda.
The said property is located at Gandhi Gram Road, Juhu, Mumbai.
The banglow was kept as mortgage when the actor took a loan of around Rs 56 crore from the bank.
His father, Dharmendra Singh Deol, and brother, Vijay Singh Dharmendra Deol (Bobby Deol), were guarantors for the loan.
When the actor failed to repay the loan in time, the bank put an advertisement today (August 20) in the newspaper, informing that the said property would be auctioned.
The auction will be held on September 25 between 1pm and 3 pm and the last date and the time of submission of bid is 5 pm, Septmeber 22, 2023, the bank said in the advertisment.
In the advertisement, the bank said that the total dues on the actor are Rs 559980766.33 along with interest and cost from 26.12.200 less recovery up to date.
