Buddha Purnima 2024 date and time, Buddha Purnima 2024: Buddha Purnima is an auspicious festival that marks the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha. Buddha Purnima is being celebrated today, May 23 this year. As per Drik Panchang, Buddha Purnima during Vaishakha month is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Gautama Buddha. 

The time of Gautam Buddha's birth and death is uncertain. However, according to Drik Panchang, most historians date his lifetime between 563-483 B.C. Most people consider Lumbini, Nepal, as the birthplace of Buddha. It is believed that Mahatma Buddha died at the age of 80 in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh.
