Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Participate in Cinemahotsav to pick 75 best patriotic films, songs

The government has invited citizens of the country to participate in 'Cinemahotsav'. Cinemahotsav is being organised by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting to identify the best and most popular works of the past 75 years in different categories.

The three categories are:

1. 75 Best Patriotic and Socially Relevant Theme Feature Films

2. 75 Best Patriotic Songs in Feature Films

3. 75 Best Bhajans and Devotional Songs in Feature Films

The Ministry is also conducting polls for favourite popular, classic films respectively to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Cinemahotsav results will be announced on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15.

Cinemahotsav is hosted on MyGov Site. An indicative list of entries in various languages such as Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi in the above three categories have been prepared and vetted by Selection panel consisting of eminent personalities and will be hosted in MyGov website.

These languages have been chosen as Film Industries in these languages were active before 1947.

Entries have also been included for Manipuri, Konkani and Sanskrit in some of the categories.

MyGov site will host the poll in 3 categories; seek preferences in each category in each language with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 preferences.

The Last date to register is 12 August 2022.

1.Visit https://www.mygov.in/mygov-survey/cinemahotsav/ to participate.

2.Click on Login to participate.

3.Login in or sign in using various options provided.

4.Once logged in, click on Start Survey

In case some name does not appear in the list, participants may feel free to suggest additional film titles in the “Others” box.
