BJP is returning to power again in Tripura and Nagaland. For the first time in the state, a woman candidate has won the assembly elections. Hekani Jakhalu has won from Dimapur III Assembly. She defeated Ajeto Jimomi of LJP (Ram Vilas) by 1536 votes. At the same time, it is clear from the results of all the three elections that the Congress has failed miserably in the Northeast.
