The government is trying to make it mandatory for carmakers to provide at least six airbags in eight-seater vehicles for enhanced safety of occupants from October, road transport minister Nitin Gadkari said on Tuesday.
After the road accident of country's big businessman Cyrus Mistry, now the government has become strict regarding road safety. Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said, ''There will be a siren if the people at the rear seat don't wear belts like for the front seats.
