India’s first private train Tejas Express is set to resume operations from October 17, almost seven months after the services were stopped due to COVID-19. Of course, the operations resume with several guidelines including the mandatory use of masks and Aarogya Setu app for all users.

In a major development, the Indian Railways is all set to replace its sleeper class coaches with Air-Conditioned (AC) coaches in the trains that are capable of running at a speed of 130 kmph and beyond.
As per the Indian Railways, old tracks on many routes across the country are being modernised so that it could run trains with a speed of 130 to 160 kmph
Non-AC sleeper coaches of the passenger trains running at a speed of 130KMPH or more would be replaced by AC coaches
