Central government employees have a positive news at a time when the coronavirus pandemic is rearing its head again. The central government has increased their treatment package charges considerably. Not only have the CGHS packages been revived but also the eligibility criteria for the treatment have been reviewed. Since 2014, there was no change in the rates of the facilities that the central government employees had been getting at CGHS hospitals across the country.
Earlier, CGHS employees would get Rs 150 for the OPD consultation fee and Rs 300 for the IPD consultation fee. While the OPD fee has been doubled to Rs 300, the IPD consultation fee has been increased to Rs 350

In the guidelines `Provision of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health Plus Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) services during and post COVID-19 Pandemic`, the Ministry said any area exiting in `containment/buffer zone` can start RMNCAH+N activities as listed in `areas beyond buffer zone` after a minimum gap of 14 days following delisting.
