While 3.67 per cent of it goes into the EPF account, 8.33 per cent goes to the Employee Pension Scheme (EPS) account. The EPF offers a lot of tax benefits. Deposits up to Rs 1.50 lakh in a financial year are tax-exempt under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act.
