BSE Sensex closed over 1170 points, while Nifty50 settled below the 17200-mark, dragged by information and Technology stocks along with banking and financials. At the market close, Sensex slipped over 1172 points or 2 per cent to 57,116, while Nifty50 tumbled 302 points or 1.73 per cent to 17,173 levels at the close. Due to the strong fall in the stock market, about Rs 3 lakh crore of investors have been sunk.
BSE Sensex closed over 1170 points, while Nifty50 settled below the 17200-mark, dragged by information and Technology stocks along with banking and financials.
