Tozo Golden X1 Review: Makes a solid case for upgrading your earbuds
Tozo Golden X1 Review: The best part about these earbuds is that you get a lot of customization features under the Sound Effects tab.
Tozo Golden X1 Review: Tozo Golden X1 comes in an oval shape case and has nice curves, which makes it comfortable while holding in your hands. Also, the pill-shaped case can be easily slipped into the pocket. While it looks like a usual earbud case and nothing out-of-the-ordinary, but you will definitely get a sense of premium-ness as soon as you open it.
The case has a display inside that shows the battery status of not just the case but also indicates the charge level of the earbuds. This is quite a useful feature as you will not have to check your app to find the percentage of battery left, as in the case of some premium earbuds like Galaxy Buds2 Pro.
The lid of the case flops around a little bit when closed. While that is not an issue, one would expect a sturdier case for something costing over Rs 12,000.
The Golden X1 does support the app and it is quite easy to set up. However, the one problem I persistently faced during my usage was that the app would consistently show "Getting Connected" while I listened to music while connected to the Bluetooth. I hope the issue can be addressed with some over-the-air updates.
The best part about these earbuds is that you get a lot of customization features under the Sound Effects tab. There are plenty of options for touch control settings as well.
Before I talk about performance, let me tell you that these earbuds comfortably fit in my ears and stayed there even while running. Also, Tozo Golen X1 comes with six pair of silicon ear tips - XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL - to ensure the optimal fit for every user.
When it comes to performance, there is almost nothing to complain about. While the earbuds offer a good seal in the ears, the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) works well when it comes to blocking not-so-loud noises like the purring of engines. It also performs fairly well while blocking loud noises like the sound of horns from vehicles or someone shouting.
It comes with the latest Bluetooth 5.3 and offers a decent range of 40 feet and a stable connection. Also, this can be used with Android as well as iOS devices as it uses SBC, AAC and LDAC Bluetooth codecs. Tozo Golden X1 offers a lag-free experience while watching movies or listing to music. Even while playing games, these earbuds do a fair job.
Also, the default setting in the app is Normal Mode - which makes you listen to the sounds of your surroundings even when you are using earbuds. If you want to change to other modes, you can easily get it done using the app or touch gestures.
In India, Tozo Golden X1 will cost you around Rs 12,359. While it is cheaper than Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro, you have some other options like OnePlus Buds Pro and Nothing Ear (2) that are priced slightly below it. But Golden X1 has an edge as it comes with features like IPX6 water-resistant rating, battery display in the case, higher frequency range and better ambient sound mode. For most casual listeners and sound enthusiasts, the performance of Golden X1 can be more than adequate.
