Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: An all-rounder flagship smartphone
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus comes with a Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display and offers an adaptive refresh rate of 48-120Hz.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: Samsung launched three smartphones under its Galaxy S23 series earlier this year. While S23 Ultra is the most expensive, fully loaded, and a big smartphone, S23 managed to impress those looking for everything in a compact device. But there are people who want a smartphone that is neither too bulky nor too compact. Also, they want the best features in their devices without their phones being too large. Can Galaxy S23 Plus be the perfect smartphone for such people? Find out in our review.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: Design
S23 Plus looks much like S22 Plus but the one noticeable difference is that the cameras no longer have a raised island around them. This new floating camera design, already available in some smartphones from the company, looks better. On the back, you will get the flat glass with a matte finish. While this makes the smartphone a little slippery, it also ensures that very little-to-no fingerprints or smudges will be visible. It has metal side rails and the polished look makes the device look premium. While the volume keys and the power button are on the right side, you will get one of the speakers, the SIM tray, and a USB Type-C charging port on the bottom.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: Display
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus comes with a Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display and offers an adaptive refresh rate of 48-120Hz. The display has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and offers up to 1,750 nits brightness, perfect for use under direct sunlight. Watching movies can be fun on this smartphone, and the sound is loud enough. I tried watching the Gaslight movie on this device, and it was absolutely fun.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: Software and performance
Samsung Galaxy S23 boots on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13. The best part is that the South Korean tech giant has promised four years of OS and five years of security updates. There are a few bloatware that can be easily uninstalled.

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen, which has been customised for the S23 series. It is one of the most powerful chips available in the market and can easily handle every task quite comfortably. Playing video games like Asphalt 9 was a nice experience, even with the highest graphics.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: Battery and charging
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is equipped with a 4,700 mAh battery. This is sufficient to run all your tasks for the entire day. Also, it comes with 45W charging. So in case you run out of battery, it can be juiced up to over 60 per cent in just 30 minutes.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: Camera
It's not 'Ultra' but it has a triple camera setup at the rear. Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus comes with a 50MP wide-angle main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera. On the front, the device has a 12MP camera for selfies. Overall, this device is capable of producing some good images in all lighting conditions. Moreover, portraits taken in low light conditions are detailed with good dynamic range.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Review: Verdict
The starting price of Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus is Rs 94,999, so it's not a cheap phone. But it can be a perfect companion for those who want a flagship device but are not a fan of a huge screen. Also, the IP68 rating of Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus ensures that you don't need to worry about it much. Moreover, this Galaxy device is guaranteed to get four major OS and five years of security updates. Thus, it manages to check almost all the right boxes and justifies the price tag.
