The Asus 65W USB-C GaN charger feels durable, as the company claims the device has undergone a 10,000-cycle insert-and-removal and a 3,000-cycle cable bend test.
The Taiwanese tech giant Asus has recently launched a 65W USB-C GaN charger in India. With a compact design, the device weighs 114g and measures 32 x 64.1 x 30 mm. In this review, we shall take a look at the features of the charger and analyse its worthiness.
The device is priced at an MPR of Rs 4,999, with a launch price of Rs 2,799. Users can purchase the charger either from Amazon or the Asus-e-Store. The box includes a 100W USB Type-C cable.

Sporting two USB-C ports on the top, with 65W branding on one side and the Asus branding on the other, the device has a compact design in white. The Asus 65W USB-C GaN charger supports various charging wattages, as printed on the back of the device.
Notably, the charger comes with smart load balancing functionality, allowing both ports to charge at a full 65W when only a single device is connected. However, it divides the power depending on the number of devices connected.
While charging a range of devices, the charging appeared reliable, without any noticeable heating issues. It also notches a peak of 65W when connected to a compatible device. To users’ delight, the device even charges the Mac, giving it a clear edge.
Overall, the Asus 65W USB-C GaN charger feels power-efficient with the durability factor almost settled. However, the presence of an additional USB-A port, along with the two included Type-C ports, would have given this device an unassailable lead over competitors.
