WhatsApp is expected to remove the feature of saving the profile photos of your contacts. This new update by Whatsapp is a part of the latest beta versions of the app for Android devices, and the change will also be a part of WhatsApp Business beta for iPhone version 2.19.60.5. However, the older versions will be receiving the change very soon according to a WABetainfo tweet. Moreover, Apple has already updated its regular App for iPhone and introduced a new feature on it, which allows people to preview stickers directly in the notification panel. The updated feature also lets you to long-tap on the WhatsApp notification to view the sticker in full size.
Earlier on WhatsApp, the users were provided with a sharing option when they open a profile photo. Tapping on the share button gives options to save the photo directly in the gallery section of the phone or share it through social media platforms. But the new update has removed the sharing option from the app leaving no on-screen way to save profile pictures. However, the feature to save profile photos is still available for groups on Whatsapp.

On the iPhone app version, Whatsapp allows users to preview the received stickers in the notification panel. The new update allows the users to watch the received stickers in their full size directly in the notification center by just long tap. The new iPhone app includes version 2.19.51 with 154.1 MB in app's total size.
WhatsApp was also spotted testing its night mode earlier this week which is likely to replace previous Dark Mode theme. The Night mode will change the App's color into a dark theme, which will make the application graphics light and easy on eyes. Although the feature is in the testing mode, it is expected to be out soon.
