Twitter Blue Tick Verification Price: Twitter will launch the revamped version of its subscription service Twitter Blue on Monday, December 12. The service will be available at a higher price for Apple users, the company said in a tweet on Saturday. Twitter, owned by tech mogul Elon Musk, however, did not explain why Apple users would be charged more than others on the web.

Subscribing to the revamped service will allow users to edit tweets, upload 1080 p videos and get a blue checkmark post account verification, for USD 8 per month through the web but for USD 11 per month through Apple iOS, the company said.

Early in November, as bogus/fake accounts started to proliferate, Twitter initially launched Twitter Blue before stopping it. It was then planned to launch once more on November 29, but that date was postponed.

Elon Musk, who paid $44 billion to buy Twitter in November, enumerated his complaints about Apple in a series of tweets last month. One of those complaints was the 30 per cent fee that Apple charges software developers for in-app purchases.

Moreover, Twitter is a small part of the total ad spending for the biggest companies that advertise on the platform. Google, Amazon and Meta account for about 75 per cent of digital ads globally, with all other platforms combined making up the other 25 per cent. Twitter accounts for about 0.9 per cent of global digital ad spending, according to Insider Intelligence, PTI reported.
