Sony launches affordable camcorder HXR-MC88; vows high photo quality

Sony has launched a new cost-effective handheld camcorder in India which allows content creators to shoot wherever and however they want. The company believes that HXR-MC88 is well-suited for content creation in any organisations, including schools and offices, offering high picture quality with straightforward operation catering to the demand of today’s diverse shooting requirements.

The Sony HXR-MC88 camcorder price in India has been set at Rs 1,04,990. It will be available across all Sony Center, Alpha Flagship stores, Sony authorized dealers and major electronic stores across India. The device will start selling starting June 3.

Sony HXR-MC88 camcorder features 

The camcorder comes with Exmor RS CMOS image sensor and advanced BIONZ X Image Processor. The device is equipped with BIONZ X image processing engine. The HXR-MC88 features the Fast Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) System with 273 Wide AF coverage, ensuring that fast-moving subjects are captured with amazing sharpness.  

The device comes with 12x optical zoom, which can be doubled to 24x with Clear Image Zoom while maintaining full resolution using Super Resolution Technology. There is a built-in 3 Step ND Filter that has the ability to adjust to capture quality content in a multitude of environments, producing sharp, clear images without losing details anytime, anywhere.
