The smartphone was first launched in 2011 as company's first phablet and since then, has evolved a lot to emerge as one of Samsung's most sought after devices.

The smartphone was first launched in 2011 as company's first phablet and since then, has evolved a lot to emerge as one of Samsung's most sought after devices. The smartphone has also been used by the company to introduce several new technologies like Samsung Knox and fingerprint scanner over the last eight years. With the new variant of the smartphone set to be unveiled on Wednesday night, here is a look at how it has evolved over the years -
Galaxy Note - Launched in 2011, this was Samsung's first phablet which revolutionised large-screen phones.
Galaxy Note 2 - The phone came with support for new air view stylus gestures.
Galaxy Note 3 - This was the first smartphone to offer USB 3.0 for faster data transfers and also the first Note device to come with a full HD resolution.
Galaxy Note 4 - This was Samsung’s first QHD smartphone and in fact, the first feature film in 4K resolution (Cai Lan Gong) was also shot on this device.
Galaxy Note 5 - Introduced the first S Pen with a clickable auto eject mechanism.
Galaxy Note 8 - Won DisplayMate and DxOMark awards for best display and camera.
Galaxy Note 9 - Offered BLE-enabled S Pen and offered up to 1TB storage.
Samsung is also set to launch Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Pro on the same date which will come with a 6.8-inch screen with punch-hole camera. The phone is expected to be powered by a 4,300mAh battery, 45W fast charging, 12GB of RAM and 256GB built-in storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10, on the other hand, is likely to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, 3,500mAh battery, 8GB of RAM and 256GB built-in storage. Both the smartphones should come with a triple rear camera setup. All three new models are expected to skip 3.5mm headphone jack.
