Samsung on Thursday has launched a new entry-level smartphone, Samsung Galaxy M01s, positioned in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment. The smartphone comes as part of company’s Galaxy M series through which the South Korean electronics giant is trying to target the budget segment.

The Galaxy M01s now comes with a MediaTek Helio P22 processor instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC. The key highlights of the new smartphone include the 4,000mAh battery, dual-camera setup and the Infinity V display.
Samsung Galaxy M01s price in India
The Samsung Galaxy M01s price in India has been set at Rs 9,999. The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is available across Samsung's offline retail stores, Samsung.com and other major e-commerce portals. It follows last month’s Samsung Galaxy M01 which was priced at Rs. 8,999.

Samsung Galaxy M01s features
Samsung Galaxy M01s sports a 6.2" HD+TFT, Infinity-V display and is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor. As mentioned before, the dual-SIM handset comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card. All of this is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
For optics, the Samsung Galaxy M01s features a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. Upfront, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
The smartphone will be available in two colours – Light Blue and Gray.
Meanwhile, in a separate news, the company is also planning to bring optical image stabilisation (OIS) technology to the next high-end Galaxy A-series models next year. The system is found on the more premium devices as of now and allows the phone to capture sharper images in handheld usage that would otherwise introduce blur. Samsung will likely bring OIS on the rumoured Galaxy A81 and Galaxy A91. Both the smartphones are said to launch in 2021.
