The series acts as a successor to this year's Note 7 series and comes with a quad rear camera setup. In fact, Redmi Note 8 Pro is company's first smartphone to feature a 64-megapixel camera in India. Before this, only Realme XT was using this sensor in the country. Both the smartphones will go on sale starting 12 noon.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India starts at Rs 14,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It has two more variants - 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM priced at Rs 15,999 and 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant would cost you Rs 17,999. It comes in three colour options - Gamma Green, Halo White, and Shadow Black. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 8 is a more affordable option priced at Rs 9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model and Rs 12,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model. It comes in Moonlight White, Neptune Blue, and Space Black colours. As part of launch offers, customers will get double data benefits.

Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) screen and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. The quad camera setup includes the 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.89 lens along with a secondary 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, 2-megapixel ultra-macro lens and 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, you get a 20-megapixel lens for selfies. It packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 8 features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display and is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. It has a 48-megapixel primary lens. The other three lens remains the same. There is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens. The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging support.
