Moto G6, Moto G6 Play launched in India: Know price, specs and features

The Lenovo-owned Motorola has finally launched the Moto G6 series today, by making Moto G6 available on Amazon and Moto G6 Play on Flipkart. The Moto G6 will be available at Rs 13,999, whereas the Moto G6 Play is priced at Rs 11,999. Moto G6 series may be quite different from the Moto G5 series as it may pack the 3D design, which is featured currently in Moto X4.
In the month of April, Motorola launched the Moto G6 series which features Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus in Brazil. This was launched after nearly eight months of Moto G5S series in August last year.
Today, Motorola India on its Twitter account said, “The #motog6 will be available on @AmazonIn and the #motog6play on @Flipkart starting midnight, and both at a #motohub near you. Get set, get ready, to get a brand new premium smartphone that was designed with you in mind.”

Moto G6 Play
Moto G6 Play features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. Motorola calls the display as Max Vision since it now supports the taller aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage which is expandable up to 255GB via microSD.
As for camera, the G6 Play will have 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and LED flash alongside 8-megapixel selfie shooter at the front that supports 1080p video recording along with dedicated LED flash, the report mentioned.
It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo with Moto Experiences and also has good battery life up to 4,000mAh battery.
Moto G6
Moto G6 features a 5.7-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) Max Vision IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC, paired with Adreno 506 GPU.
The phone will come in two variant having 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. This can be expandable up to 128GB using microSD.
As for camera, the phone is packed with 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor - these two are accompanied by dual- LED flash. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel sensor with a selfie flash in front.
Battery life is good at 3000mAh battery, which supports TurboPower charging.
Both the phones will have connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are available. Whereas sensors like accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity, and a fingerprint reader are also packed.
