Jio Bharat phone: Jio on Monday launched the Jio Bharat phone for those looking for cheap internet-enabled phones with affordable monthly plans. Launched at Rs 999, the Jio Bharat phones will come bundled monthly plan of Rs 123 offering unlimited voice calls and 14 GB data. The company said that Jio Bharat phone is being launched to empower every Indian with the power of digital services, especially those who cannot afford a smartphone.

The phone features a 1.77-inch QVGA TFT display.

The phone has a removable 1000mAh battery.

The users will require a Jio SIM card to use the phone.

The phone features a 0.3 megapixel camera on the back, but no selfie camera.

The handset supports expandable storage of up to 128GB through SD cards.

The phone is loaded with a torch light, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. 

For entertainment-related content like films, sports and videos, Jio Bharat phone users will be able to use the JioCinema app installed on-board.

For audio and music, they'll have access to JioSaavn.

The Beta trial for first 10 lakh Jio Bharat phones will begin from July 7, 2023.
