Google Meet brings 360-degree video background on mobile for immersive experience
Google has recently launched some more updates for developers.
In a bid to provide a more immersive experience to Meet users, Google Meet has introduced new 360-degree video backgrounds. The video backgrounds are available for both iOS and Android users. However, the feature is still being rolled out and therefore it might take a while before all of you are able to use it.
"Meet users on mobile can use several new 360-degree video backgrounds. These backgrounds - which include a beach and a temple - use your device's gyroscope to create a dynamic experience that moves with you," Google said in a Workspace Updates blog post.
"Available on Android and iOS devices for all Google Workspace users and users with personal Google Accounts," it added.
The tech major has also launched some more updates for developers. As part of it, developers can now include interactive widgets like radio buttons, checkboxes and dropdowns in 'chat app cards'. They can be posted in the Chat message stream.

This will help users quickly modify information sent from the Chat app. They can change the assignee and also make changes to the due date on a task card. They will also get selecting and deselecting options on a card.
Earlier this month, Google introduced a new feature for Google Meet. This will allow users to add captions in a meeting recording. It will help users to make meeting recordings more useful and accessible for meeting participants.
