Good news! Poco X2 confirmed to get Android 11 update

Poco has confirmed that its recently launched smartphone Poco X2 will soon get an Android 11 update. Launched earlier this month, the Poco X2 is company’s first smartphone since splitting from parent company Xiaomi. It has been shipped with Android 10 out of the box with MIUI 11 on top. 

“With a demonstrated history of listening to its consumers, Poco enjoys a loyal fan and user base that stays engaged with the company. With a commitment to upgrade Poco X2 to Android 11-based MIUI for Poco, buyers can be doubly-sure their 120Hz display-powered Poco X2 will stay updated with the latest and the best software to continue delivering a stellar user experience,” the company said in a statement released on Monday afternoon. 

The developer preview of Android 11 was recently released by Google and is now available for download and test for the developers. Android 11's first developer preview has been released earlier than the regular release cycle as the Alphabet Inc-owned company usually releases developer builds of new Android versions in March.

The new version of Android brings 5G-related improvements, convenient app behaviour, enhancements for foldable phones and screen types, new camera capabilities and privacy-centric features.
