Good news for these WhatsApp users: New UI improvements fix bugs to make group calling easier

In a good news for iOS users, WhatsApp has started rolling out improved features for group calls in iOS beta. The new changes have not only improved the group calling but also fixed some bugs. The feature is currently available for only iOS beta users and will be made available to Android users in the future.

According to wabetainfo.com, the new improvements have fixed the issues like where opening a chat may unintentionally trigger haptic feedback and where GIFs used to stop playing unexpectedly. The improvement will also add a Group call button in the group chats. When tapped, a list will show of contacts with whom you can start the call. It allows only four participants at a time. Therefore, you will be able to add only three more participants to the call.

The other improvements are related to where one is added or dismissed as an admin in a group, businesses chatting, and bugs related to searching for chats, contacts, and messages, reported wabetainfo.

WhatsApp had rolled out group audio/video calling feature in July this year. The feature allows a user to first start an audio/video call with one user and then add two more with add participants option. The group calls are end-to-end encrypted and had been designed calling to work reliably around the world in different network conditions, the WhatsApp had said.

WhatsApp has recently rolled out a number of features for its users including sticker packs and swipe right to reply. It has also put a curb on forwarding messages by limiting them to five.
