Gmail for Android, iOS gets new look - How it works

Gmail has rolled out its new material theme for Android. The company is focused on to bring its key features at the front centre of the screen on Android. This change was announced last month. Android users can update the app on the Google Play Stor to get the new look whereas iOS users will have to wait for some time to get these benefits.

This “New year, new look” is now available with some fair changes in the looks. The red shade on the top is all vanished. The users who have more than one Gmail account can switch accounts by tapping on the icon which is placed at the top right just next to the search bar. The Application works the same, only the design is changed.

Users can immediately access the attachments in the mailbox without opening the mail. The best part is that the appearance of the mailbox is cleaner and less occupied with clear visuals. It is not as congested as before. 

The update also includes an organised inbox which means that the social and promotional emails will be sorted into categories so that you can access your personal emails like friends and family on the top of the mail list. 

For safety precautions, Gmail has also rolled a new feature which will directly block the spam emails before it hits the inbox of the users Gmail account. To avoid clutter.
