Entry-level Nokia 2 smartphone expected to be launched on October 5; specifications, price

After the launch of the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 smartphones this year, HMD Global is now expected to launch the Nokia 2 as soon as next month. The company will launch the Nokia 2 smartphone by October 5.

The have also been leaks regarding the look and the specifications of the smartphone. The Nokia 2 smartphone does not have navigation buttons on the screen instead of physical ones.

It also will have one camera in front and one camera at the rear. The rear camera will also have an LED flash with it.

In terms of the specifications, the Nokia 2 smartphone will have a 5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC processor, 1 GB RAM and should pack a massive 4,000 mAh battery.

These are entry level specifications and as a result is expected to be priced much lower than the Nokia 3. While the Nokia 3 is priced at Rs 9,399 in India and hence the Nokia 2 could be priced at the sub-Rs 6,000 level.

The Nokia 2 will come with stock Android and the version could be the latest Android OS, Oreo.
