COVID-19 booster shot: Here's how to book your slot - Check step by step guide

As we are seeing sudden spike in the rise of COVID-19 cases, especially in the Delhi-NCR region, eligible people are now looking to get the COVID-19 booster shots now. if you're one of those, this article might help you.

Adults above the age of 18 years who have completed nine months after their second dose are eligible for the booster dose. The vaccines are now available in all private centres. All citizens need to carry the vaccination certificate of their second dose, according to a statement from Union Health Ministry.

Here is the step-by-step guide to book your booster shot slot-

-  Open the CoWin website and select “Book Your Slot” under the “Precaution dose” section

- It will then ask you to enter the registered number (You need to enter the same mobile number that you used for the previous two doses).

- If you have completed nine months since your second dose, you will see an option to book a slot for the precaution dose.

- Tap on the “Schedule” option and enter your pin code

-Once done, you will see a list of vaccination centres available around you

-You can now decide the date and time of the slot as per your convenience, make the payment and get done with the procedure.

In related news, with 2,380 new coronavirus infections being reported in a day, India's total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 4,30,49,974, while the active cases increased to 13,433, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday. The death toll climbed to 5,22,062 with 56 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.

The active cases comprise 0.03 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate remained at 98.76 per cent, the ministry said.
