Samsung Galaxy S21 FE may launch on January 11: What we know so far

After successfully launching the Galaxy S20 FE (fan-edition) phone, the South Korean mobile smartphone manufacturer Samsung is likely to launch its much-awaited Galaxy S21 FE smartphone globally next year --  January 11, 2022

A tipster has shared new images of the Galaxy S21 FE. The January 11 date on the display suggests that it could be the launch date of the S21 FE, the news agency IANS quoted GizmoChina in a report.  The images show that the handset will be available with 5G support through AT&T in the US which will be launched in the first week of January 2022.

According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is likely to come in 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage choices. The Galaxy S21 FE will house a 6.41-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display. It will feature a 32MP selfie camera and a 12MP (main with OIS) + 12MP (ultrawide) + 8MP (telephoto) triple camera unit.

Depending on the region, the S21 FE will ship with the Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100. The S21 FE will pack a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. It will also carry support for wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. The smartphone may also include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant chassis.

Earlier this year, Samsung launched the 5G variant of its Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) smartphone, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and comes with 4500mAh battery. The smartphone will be available in three different colours- Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint and Cloud Lavender.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G features a 6.5-inch fullHD+ Infinity-O display of 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch response rate. ​The Galaxy S20 FE sports a triple camera set-up on the back including a 12MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and an 8MP telephoto lens.

The rear cameras support up to 30x digital zoom through its telephoto lens. The smartphone features large image sensors including AI multi-frame processing. On the front, the phone has a 32MP camera for selfies, videos and face unlock mechanism.
