Realme GT smartphone CONFIRMED for JUNE 15 launch: Here's all you need to know

Realme GT launch: In good news for smartphone fans, the Chinese smartphone company Realme has announced the global launch date of its upcoming smartphone Realme GT on June 15 at 5: 30 pm IST.  The smartphone brand will announce its latest AIoT strategy with a slew of new products under Realme TechLife.

By further developing a wide-ranging AIoT ecosystem, Realme aspires to enhance every aspect of young consumers’ modern lifestyle, including their personal, family, and travel technology needs, the company said.

Madhav Sheth, VP, Realme and CEO, Realme India & Europe took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote: "Guys, get ready for the Sheer Speed Flagship. The global debut of #realmeGT is on 15th June. RT if you can't wait for the #FlagshipKiller2021! #SheerSpeedFlagship."

According to the company, Realme’s CEO Sky Li will deliver an opening speech at the global launch event which will be followed by an overview of Realme’s global business strategy by Madhav Sheth, Vice President, Realme and Chief Executive Officer, Realme India and Europe.

In addition, Johnny Chen, Realme’s Global Head of Brand Marketing, will officially launch Rrealme TechLife, the company’s upgraded AIoT ecosystem, while Alessio Bradde, Realme’s Product Marketing Manager, will introduce the Realme GT to global audiences for the first time.

Finally, Kwan Jun Jie, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Realme, will conclude the event by unveiling Realme’s new line of AIoT products. As Realme’s first flagship smartphone of 2021, the Realme GT was met with great reception. By ringing the Realme GT to additional markets overseas, Realme is determined to set new standards for flagship experiences for young consumers worldwide, the company said.

The Realme GT 5G features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powering the flagship is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone ships with a 4,500mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging. Realme GT 5G runs on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0.
