Lenovo to launch new 'Legion' gaming smartphone soon - Check all details here!

Chinese technology company Lenovo is planning to launch the successor of its Legion gaming smartphone this year and the company has teased the device on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. Lenovo General Manager Chen Jin said that the phone will be feature-packed and will not compromise on anything to achieve the ultimate gaming experience.

Lenovo General Manager also promised a Spring release for the handset. The new handset may carry the Lenovo Legion Pro 2 moniker. As a gaming flagship, it is expected to pack the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. It will probably come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the IANS reported,

The device will have some sort of active cooling, being it built-in or an attachable accessory. The upcoming smartphone is also expected to feature an AMOLED screen with at least 144Hz refresh rate and a 5,000mAh battery. It will also likely feature a secondary USB Type-C charging port on the side along with a notch-less display.

Earlier this year, Lenovo unveiled four new gaming laptops from its Legion gaming product line that utilises Advanced Micro Devices' (AMD) next-generation mobile Ryzen processors at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021.

The new models -- Lenovo Legion 7, Lenovo Legion Slim 7, Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and Lenovo Legion 5 -- would be available from February 2021. Lenovo Legion's new 2021 laptops are among the first to feature the next-gen AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series mobile processors, said the company.
