WhatsApp update: Only these users can HIDE online status - Here is how

WhatsApp update: The Meta-owned popular messaging application has reportedly released a new privacy settings. Now, more Android beta testers on WhatsApp beta are now able to manage who can see when they're online on WhatsApp.

"We explained that WhatsApp released a new privacy setting that lets some beta testers the ability to manage who can see when they’re online but this was only available to some lucky people. Another rollout was available to more beta testers after installing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.20.11 update but it was not enough since a lot of users still couldn’t use this feature. Now, WhatsApp is finally rolling the feature to other people today," WabetaInfo reported.

If the feature was not available for you, maybe it is finally released to your WhatsApp account today: just check WhatsApp Settings > Account > Privacy. If you see “Last seen and online”, it means you can finally manage who can see when you’re online on WhatsApp.

In case the feature is still not available for your WhatsApp account, you are out of luck and you have to wait for another update. 

In related news, the Meta-owned messaging application is reportedly planning to bring a new feature that will allow users to add a caption to any document they share using the WhatsApp. The instant messaging Platform will  add a caption feature to the document sharing option.

According to the WabetaInfo, the future updated version of WhatsApp will soon have a feature for sharing documents with a caption. While WhatsApp allows sharing a document at present, it doesn't provide an option to write a caption to the document.

However, a user can share videos, photos and GIFs with captions. Adding the caption feature to document sharing will help users find a document easily. It is now working on the feature for a future version of the Android beta app as of now. Once the feature is ready, it will be rolled out for Android and iOS users.
