Twitter Blue: NEW subscription service, features, COST and more

Twitter has listed a new subscription service 'Twitter Blue' on app stores. This will include features such as Undo Tweets. This in-app purchase is priced at $2.29 per month. The service will be auto renewed monthly. However, the subscription service can be cancelled anytime.

Twitter confirmed this through its app page in the iOS App Store. The current offering is in more than 33 languages.

Tony Haile, former CEO of Scroll (now part of Twitter) has mentioned that it’ll be “integrated into a broader Twitter subscription” in the acquisition announcement tweet, confirming that Twitter Blue (or other tiers) will include the clutter-free news-reading experience.

Similarly, Jane Manchun Wong, one of the first paying Twitter Blue customers, has shared the screenshots of Twitter Blue on her Twitter account. Based on her sharings, Twitter Blue comes with different colour themes and custom app icons. Users will be able to choose different colour themes like blue, yellow, red, purple, orange and green. Also, they will be allowed to change the app icon to blue, pink, purple, green, orange and more colours.

Twitter Blue comes with more feature setting options such as quickly undo tweets. It will also let users categorise their favourite tweets into different collections. It also has a ‘Reader Mode’ feature that turns long threads into easy-to-read text format.

Taking the Twitter experience to the next level, it also includes an exclusive feature like 'Collections', which save and organise the favourite Tweets into 'Collections' so that they are easier to find later.

Twitter Blue will be offered in different subscription plans. Users, who purchase higher subscription plans, will have access to more features. The $2.99 price could be the base subscription plan.
