Genshin Impact 2.2 update: Good news for gamers! Genshin Impact 2.2 is releasing very soon. miHoYo, the studio behind this popular open-world title on its official site revealed details on the latest update. The developers explain that maintenance for the update will begin at the usual time and it is estimated to take five hours.

As for the rewards, miHoYo will provide maintenance compensation of 300 Primogems which is about 60 gems for each hour the servers are down. miHoYo has mentioned the following new elements that will arrive with the new update.

"During the event wish, the event-exclusive 5-star character "Childe" Tartaglia (Hydro) and the 4-star characters "Eclipsing Star" Ningguang (Geo), "Frozen Ardor" Chongyun (Cryo), and "Wise Innocence" Yanfei (Pyro) will get a huge drop-rate boost!. Of the above characters, the event-exclusive character will not be available in the standard wish "Wanderlust Invocation," the gaming company said in its post.

The "Tast Run" trial event will be open during this event wish. Travelers may use fixed lineups containing the selected trial characters to enter specific stages and test them out.

Travelers that complete the challenges will receive the corresponding rewards!/ During the event wish, the event-exclusive 5-star weapons Polar Star (Bow) and Memory of Dust (Catalyst), the event-exclusive 4-star weapon Akuoumaru (Claymore), as well as 4-star weapons Favonius Sword (Sword), Favonius Lance (Polearm), Eye of Perception (Catalyst), and Rust (Bow) will get a huge drop-rate boo.

"During the event wish, use "Epitomized Path" to chart a course towards one of the promotional 5-star weapons, Polar Star (Bow) or Memory of Dust (Catalyst). For more information on Epitomized Path, go to the Wish screen and select Details in the bottom-left," the gaming company said.
