Battleground Mobile India Latest Update 2021: The gamers and PUBG lovers cannot keep their calm as Indian avatar of PUBG Mobile, Battleground Mobile India, is set to make its mark in the country. 

The pre-registration process for the Android users has already started as Battlegrounds Mobile India and the Indian version of PUBG Mobile is likely to be launched in India in June. Many must be wondering why has there been a change in the name? Let us find out!

According to a report by BGR, Krafton announced Battlegrounds Mobile India, which is a replacement to the previously announced PUBG Mobile India. The game developer is trying its level best to avoid using the name PUBG in promoting the upcoming game Battlegrounds Mobile India. While looking at the Google Play Store listing description, it looks evident that Krafton has intentionally avoided using the name PUBG in the promotion of the upcoming game. A latest report suggests that Krafton has also asked the content creators to refrain from using the name PUBG Mobile while talking about Battlegrounds Mobile India. It is said that the developers have asked not to link PUBG Mobile with Battlegrounds Mobile India as it fears another ban.

It must be noted that the Indian government had banned PUBG Mobile in India on September 2, 2020, due to data privacy concerns under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. Since then, Krafton has been in talks with the government, trying hard to bring the game back to the country by respecting all the concerns raised by the government, starting from privacy and security of user data, among others.

Though the pre-registration has only started for the Android users, the iPhone users must not worry as as the Krafton has stated that the game would be free for both Android and iOS users.
