Apex Legends Mobile: Officially announced; check Pre-Registration link, India availability, more details about the Apex Legends Mobile Launch NOW

Apex Legends Mobile Beta launch: One of the most famous cross-platform battle royale game Apex Legends, developed by Respawn Entertainment (the same folks behind Titanfall) and published by Electronic Arts, was first released two years ago. And now, in good news for the gaming community, EA announced that the game is coming to mobile platforms, though it will be a bit different than the current experience on PCs and consoles.

"Beginning later this month, we're kicking off the first regional beta tests for Apex Legends Mobile. This is a huge moment for our team. Two years ago we changed the landscape of the battle royale genre, and now we’re aiming to do it again on mobile, Apex Legends Mobile is specially designed for touchscreens, with streamlined controls and thoughtful optimizations that result in the most advanced battle royale combat available on a phone. It’s a new version of Apex Legends, but it’s true to the original," Game Director for Apex Legends wrote in a blog post.

Apex Legends Mobile will start with a limited closed beta in India and the Philippines and only on Android devices. Electronic Arts plans to implement iOS support and include more regions in further tests. There’s no official release date for when the game will arrive in all regions.

"We're keeping things small to start—just a few thousand players in India and the Philippines—but over the course of this year we're planning to roll the game out to more regions and more players around the world," the company said.

The decision to begin testing in India and the Philippines could mean EA wants to prioritize the game in regions where other online mobile shooters, especially PUBG, are wildly popular. Half of all PUBG Mobile players came from India before the game was banned over national security concerns.
