Virender Sehwag invests in Delhi-based startup incubator T9L QUBE
Cricket legend Virender Sehwag has invested in T9L QUBE, a startup studio dedicated to nurturing innovative entrepreneurs.
Cricketing legend Virender Sehwag has invested an undisclosed sum in T9L QUBE, a Delhi-based startup incubator, according to s statement today, August 27.
Sehwag says he has always been passionate about the ever-changing startup landscape and has taken this first step to solidify his presence and commitment. This investment not only reflects his belief in the power of innovation but also marks the beginning of his role in providing easement to the next generation of Indian entrepreneurs, according to him.
One of the paramount reasons for Sehwag to invest with T9l QUBE according to him was that they don't placate bold ideas or antidisestablishmentarianistic founders; instead, they understand that uniquity, a driven founder regardless of their pedigree, and a large addressable market combined with institutional belief-driven determination are the ingredients of a successful startup. Another reason for his investment in T9l is his strong connection with the studio's approach to developing talent. He draws parallels between his coach and the studio's methods. Sehwag's coach recognized the potential in his unorthodox playing style and supported him, providing guidance and, most importantly, believing in his potential to become one of the greatest. He sees a similar approach in T9L's iconoclastic philosophy of backing superlative founders.
Virender Sehwag said, "Investing with T9L Qube (Founders Fahad Moti Khan and Gaurav Gaggar) is an opportunity to pay forward the support I once received in my professional career, and I aim to help future entrepreneurs get similar support. For me, T9L QUBE embodies the spirit of my coach—one who spots raw talent, believes in unconventional approaches, and provides steadfast support, making it the ideal platform for my foray into the startup world. I see them as the 3rd Co-Founder."
According to the company, it's strategy for success is multi-faceted, that is founders collaborate with the studio to gain access to experts in product development, narrative building, branding, growth, fundraising, networking, and technology. Then, T9L employs a playbook-based approach to generating, validating, building, and launching growing startup ideas into the market. The studio concept is based on the idea that, through appropriate intervention, the majority of the reasons for startup failures can be mitigated. Furthermore, the studio follows the antithesis of the rejection-led model used in the industry. T9L QUBE claims that it focuses on the founders, and its investment is more on the capabilities of the founders rather than just their pedigree.
T9l says, that unlike other accelerators, it goes beyond just providing financial support and mentorship. They take a more hands-on approach, operating as a third co-founder for the startup.
T9L's business model has demonstrated significant effectiveness claims the company. Notable startups incubated by T9L and/or its Founders Fahad Moti Khan and Gaurav Gaggar include Docquity, SpotDraft, Adda52, NirogStreet, UOLO, PumPumPum, HealthTrip, Tota, ShipsKart, PeopleMatters, CrownIt, RupeePower, BroEx/FastFox, BIS Research among others.
