Homegrown e-commerce giant Flipkart has begun its five-day 'Big 10 Sale' on Sunday.

The online retailer has launched this sale to celebrate its completion of 10 years into the e-commerce business and to thank its customers for their continuous support.

"Flipkart’s 10 years have been all about the Indian customer and we’ve received an immense amount of love and support over the past decade. The 'Big 10 Sale' is our biggest by far after 'Big Billion Days' and it’s our way of  thanking customers for that overwhelming  response," Flipkart chief executive officer Kalyan Krishnamurthy said in press release issued on May 5 this year.

The company's 'Big 10 Sale' was started on midnight of May 14 and it will last till May 18.

Online buyers will get 30% cashback if they do payments of products via the e-commerce's site PhonePe platform.

Besides, customers of HDFC Bank credit cards will get 10% instant discount on their credit cards for minimum purchase of Rs 6,499. The bank is offering maximum discount of Rs 1,500 per card.

Additionally, buyers will get MakeMyTrip Gift Card worth Rs 2,500 and flight offers on purchase of products.

This Monday is the second day of Flipkart's 'Big 10 Sale' and it is running with throwaway discounts and offers on products across categories.
