Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana Rules
From October 1, the rules of the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana scheme for daughters will also be updated. According to the new rules, if an account is opened by grandparents, it will be transferred to the guardian or biological parents. Additionally, if more than two accounts are opened, any extra accounts will be closed.

Public Provident Fund (PPF) Changes
Furthermore, if a person has multiple PPF accounts, the interest rate will apply only to the primary account, while secondary accounts will be merged with it. Any excess funds will be refunded at 0 per cent interest. NRIs with PPF accounts opened before 1968 will receive post office savings account interest until September 30; thereafter, the interest rate will drop to 0 per cent.
LPG Prices
Oil marketing companies typically adjust LPG cylinder prices on the first of each month. As a result, you might notice a change in cylinder prices on the morning of October 1, 2024. The revised prices are usually released by 6 AM. While prices for 19 kg commercial gas cylinders have fluctuated recently, the rates for 14 kg domestic cylinders have remained stable for some time.
